Dufour Aerospace has been at the forefront of electric propulsion in aviation since 2015, when we built aEro 1, the world's first electric aerobatic plane. We bring decades of experience from Airbus, Pilatus, Solar Impulse, Kopter, and Google to our mission to accelerate sustainable aviation. We are developing aEro 3, a hybrid electric tilt-wing VTOL aircraft offering significant operational benefits and cost savings compared to helicopters for many missions.
Thomas Pfammatter, our CEO, has been an Air Zermatt helicopter rescue pilot for over 25 years. His mission experience includes 3,000 rescue operations and over 10,000 hours of flight. He is also an IFR rated fixed wing and passionate aerobatic pilot. Thomas has extensive management experience, having held several management board positions as CEO and CFO for both entrepreneurial and multinational companies. He acted as CFO of Air Zermatt for many years, giving him an additional deep understanding of the business and financial side of helicopter operations.
Jasmine Kent, our CTO, is a software engineer with 8 years' experience at Google, building mission critical systems and leading engineering teams. In 2016 she co-founded Daedalean to develop computer vision and deep learning systems for manned aircraft. At Dufour, Jasmine is responsible for design evaluations, simulation, control systems, software and automation, applying her expertise in DO-178C and safety critical software development.
