S97 Raider continues flight test efforts breaking new ground and testing new technologies in support of the FARA program. The S97 is a Sikorsky company funded X2 Technology aircraft that to date has flown over 100-hours, achieved 207 KTAS in level flight and sixty degree angle of bank turns. The rigid coaxial aircraft has a pusher prop to achieve higher speeds. The Raider aircraft is a slightly smaller version of Sikorsky’s FARA offering to the US Army. Bill and Christiaan will provide an overview of the aircraft and discuss testing completed in the past and talk to some of the testing on the horizon.
