The Transformative Vertical Flight 2022 meeting will take place Jan. 24-27, 2022 in San Jose, California, with our Short Course on eVTOL Design planned for Monday, Jan. 24 and an ""air taxi air show"" on Friday, Jan. 28. This jam-packed three-day meeting includes the following concurrent events:
  • Aeromechanics for Advanced Vertical Flight Technical Meeting
  • Short Course on Electric VTOL
  • 9th Annual Electric VTOL Symposium
Aeromechanics for Advanced Vertical Flight provides a forum for technical paper presenations on emerging aeromechanics challenges and solution methods for future vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft, encompassing dynamics, aerodynamics, acoustics and flight mechanics.

Short Course on Electric VTOL will be held all day on Monday, Jan. 24. The cost of the course is US$295 for VFS members (US$325.00 for non-members). Short course attendees will receive an email communication and link to download course materials before the short course begins.

9th Annual Electric VTOL Symposium includes invited presentations from leaders in this exciting field. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest advancements in eVTOL, and the challenges that still remain. Invited presentations from all areas of eVTOL will be discussed, from researchers and leaders in academia, industry and government agencies from around the globe. The Vertical Flight Society has been leading efforts in electric VTOL since 2014 and has a dedicated website on Electric VTOL News.

VTOL Aircraft Displays ($45):
A special event is being planned at the Hiller Avaition Museum at the San Carlos Airport on the morning of Friday, Jan. 28. In addition to the vertical flight exhibits in the museum, VFS is arranging for a display of eVTOL aicraft. So far, we are tentatively expecting at least six eVTOL aircraft. More information will be forthcoming as plans are confirmed.
